| The forecast for our first work day of the 2007
flying season was for rain and snow. Snow! In the middle of April? Despite
the fact that the forecast was for miserable weather and the temperatures were in the
upper 30's to lower 40's, we had a pretty good turn out for this first work day. The grass was cut, weeded and fertilized. The fence was sanded and re-stained. The new handicap walk-way from the parking lot to the pavilion was stained. Handicapped parking signs were installed and the pilot boxes were put out and set up. After all the work was completed, we held our monthly meeting which was resheduled due to Easter this year. The field is now ready for the new flying season. Now all we need is for the weather to figure out that winter is suppose to be over and we're ready for some warmer weather. Photo's courtesy of Jerry Rudish |
