| NEW POINT SYSTEM In a membership of over 60 active members there are at times a core of a dozen or so members who manage all the activities and work of the club. In accordance with the Butler Aircraft Modelers Society By-Laws there is a section dedicated to encouraging members to be more active - Article IV Responsibilities of Membership. There is also a section dealing with members who are not responsible - Article III Membership (second paragraph). This By-Law has never been enforced because it could not be done fiarly until now. The Board has come up with a point system for active members which will be implemented 1/1/06. By-Laws will be mailed out to all members. Physical disabilities are also covered under Article IV.

There is an ongoing problem with the
tractor while mowing. If you stop after
mowing then try to re-engage the
mower deck it sometimes doesn't
engage. After a 45-60 minute wait it
will do so, the only suggestion for now until this can be repaired is once you start don't
stop. Good Luck.

| Great Success That's the only way to describe our July 9th Open House with the Cub Scouts. At one time over 80cars and trucks were in the parking lot. Over 150 guests were at the field to watch or participate in RC flying. John Vogel brought along some friends who put on a show show flying electrics while one of our newest members put on a helicopter demonstration. There was control line flying and of course the BAMS instructors never got a break. From all accounts the local residents gave the club positive feedback on our flying and noise reduction over the years. Thisputs us in good standing to work out the details for the 2006 Fly-In at our field. There will be more discussion at future meetings about the Fly-In
