THANKS HEMPHILLS! Once again Ron and his wife Judy hosted the annual yard sale / fund raiser to support the BAMS. Thanks also go to the members who donated items and helped with the yard sale. After expenses, the club netted $590. JUNE FIELD MEETING The June General Field Meeting was held on Sunday, June 8. We had a nominal turn out undoubtedly due to the high winds and high temps. Remember members, attending a meeting is worth half a point and an easy way to accumulate points to your seasonal five point total. FUN FLY JUNE 21 President Roy Scott has the planning well under way for this fun day. Already Tom McClean has volunteered to organize parking, Dave Chisholm will be the Safety Officer, Obie King and Kurt Hicks will be working on food and drinks, Walt McDonald along with the Sunoco will be supplying ice and the Hemphill's will be organizing the impound area. Doug Snyder secured a Great Planes EP Super Sportster for one of the raffles. Help will be needed all day, so please plan to arrive at the field at 8 AM. The event formally ends at 4 PM, but if we have a great day, flying may continue longer. SAILPLANE CLUB INVASION Once again the Sailplane Pilots will be returning to our field on AUGUST 24th. It's an opportunity to learn about another aspect of our hobby / sport and if you help out, a chance to earn more points. ENTRANCE GATE REMINDER Please remember when you arrive at the field and unlock the entrance gate to do the following: - Open the gate all the way so it locks into the mechanism on the stationary gate on the right. This will help reduce strain on the gate and it's hinges. - CLEAR THE COMBINATION FROM THE LOCK - Don't just flip a number or two, SPIN ALL THE TUMBLERS. Then either lock it to the swinging gate or take it with you . . . don't leave it hanging on the gate open. MOWING REMINDER: Before starting the tractor, check the gas and the OIL. Also the mowed area has been increasing and is much larger than necessary. Increasing the field size means more time to mow, more time on the tractor and more hours on the tractor. MOWING SCHEDULE: JUNE 9 JUNE 14: Obie King / Mel Reiher JUNE 16 JUNE 21: John Pensy / Tony Rivers JUNE 23 JUNE 28: Dick Rittelmann / Nick Scarnato JUNE 30 JULY 5: Warren Peffer / John VogelJULY 7 JULY 12: Walt McDondald / Rob Johnson JULY 14 JULY 19: Dave Chisholm / Tom Nagel JULY 21 JULY 26: Bret Morey / William Wise Jr.JULY 28 AUG 2: Roy Scott / Bob ZabickiAUG 4 AUG 9: Doug Snyder / Todd Wuchevich AUG 11 AUG 16: Scott Rudish / Jerry Rudish AUG 18 AUG 23: Tom McLean / Kurt Hicks AUG 25 AUG 30: Dick Wagner / Ron HemphillSEPT 1 SEPT 6: Bill Henderson / John Cuzzo SEPT 8 SEPT 13: Tom Fischer / Brian Blakeley SEPT 15 SEPT 19: Dennis Crouch / Mike Gumkowski SEPT 22 SEPT 26: Bob Masterson / Albert Woodcock SEPT 29 OCT 4: Obie King / Mel ReiherOCT 6 OCT 11: John Pensy / Tony Rivers OCT 13 OCT 18: Dick Rittelmann / Nick Scarnato OCT 20 OCT 25: Warren Peffer / John Vogel
